I Did It

February 22, 2010

I got off those bad lbs.

Down 30lbs on starting weight once again.

It feels good.

I doubt I will make my target for my holiday but I will be close.

Things are going great and I won’t be giving up without a fight.

Last Week

February 19, 2010

Last week, I had 3 days off the diet and exercise.

I did overindulge and enjoy all the treats of valentines weekend.

Chocolates.

Rich food.

Wine.

And just about anything I fancied.

The cost +4lb.

Ouch.

With alot of hard work, I have 3lb of those back off today. I am determined not to let random little corners of life put a full blight on my efforts.

My current total is a loss of 29lbs,. Still a way to go but I can get there.

Good News

February 11, 2010

Something inside seems to have clicked and I am getting through really well. I am seeing healthy eating as a regular thing. It’s not a struggle, I am completely into it and with exercise I amĀ  going down the scales VERY steadily.

The more weight I lose, the more confidence I gain.

Remember previous entries?

The first one “Let me Explain” back in October said I wanted to lose 50lb as a realistic goal before August. I am more than halfway to that goal. I have now lost a grand total of 30lbs, yes, you read that right, a whopping THIRTY pounds. That’s in 4 months. I still have 6 months to go, so I could be in with a chance of my ultimate challenge of losing 70lbs. Another 5lb and I will be halfway there.

It IS possible but I won’t make myself ill over it.

My other challenge, as set by hubby to be 3 weeks ago, is set to come to an end on Saturday. I am only 45km away from my 411km target. The next challenge is to cycle it back again before we go away 19th March. That means I have 5 weeks to make the return journey then I can go for real. As I’ve said before I’d like to be back to the weight I was when I met hubby to be when we go away. I am getting closer all the time. The current challenge is 12lbs in 5 weeks. Can I do it??? If I can carry on losing 2-4lb per week, I should be feeling very pleased with myself. If I don’t do it? Then I tried my best and I wont let it bring me down. I’ve come so far already, I will always keep that in the forefront of my mind rather than look for failures.

I enjoy exercise. I enjoy my cycling, I enjoy walking. I can get there or at least very close.

I feel brilliant. I feel fit and healthy and though I have cut my food intake right down, I don’t feel hungry.

I sleep better than I have done in years.

I Made It

February 5, 2010

Yesterday, the scales showed me just what I wanted to see. I am 28lbs down and have reached my little goal for the week albeit two days late.

I still have 6 weeks until my mini break and would like to lose another 14lb. Can I do it? I’ll certainly give it my best shot.

I have upped the exercise to 25km on the exercise bike this week. I am over halfway to my achieving my challenge and I am feeling confident that this is MY YEAR to get the best results I can.

I’m even going to participate in a charity walk later this year.

I’m feeling really positive on this now. :)

Closse but not quite

February 2, 2010

I didn’t make my 4lb target this week. I did 3lbs.

It’s still 8lbs in 2 weeks which I am REALLY chuffed with.

That’s 27lb off in around 3 months.

I am noticing a change in my body already. My breasts are getting smaller. My thighs look slimmer. My post baby tummy is going down and I look healthier in the face.

I have found in the past that extra exercise can slow down weight loss for a few weeks. This is due to muscle growth and giving your body a chance to adjust so I am not at all disheartened that I didn’t do my mini target. I will have done it by next Tuesday I am sure of it.

IF I was to continue at an average loss of just 1lb per week from now until my wedding, I am looking at 28lbs loss. That’s 56lb if I do my 2lb target! That’s 4 stone (in English metric weights) and it will have me a good 20lb smaller than I’ve been at my lowest weight. That really is an incentive to do 2lbs per week in itself.
